Our Rooms
All six rooms at the OMHouse property have their own private bath. Each room was designed with its own theme to represent an area attraction or the surrounding history. Originally built in the early 1900’s, the historic mansion was carefully and artistically renovated, preserving its historic craftsman-style origins. You can book individual, private rooms and share space with other travelers or book the entire property for your next event, retreat or family get away.
Grace’s Suite
Our Master suite is named in honor of Oakland’s most beloved pioneer and flamboyant, life-loving Opera singer, Mrs. Grace Mather-Smith.
The suite is located on the first floor and privately separated from all other bedrooms. There is a King sized bed with large sitting area, a deep jetted soaking tub with lake view, 2 person walk-in shower and separate vanities with plenty of storage.
The Speakeasy
With custom faux finishes and a theme to represent the era of prohibition, there is a high quality queen mattress and bedding for a great nights sleep. There is a private bath accessed through a secret door that doubles as a closet or for privacy. The private bathroom has faux coppered wall coverings and historic wall tiles and fixtures.
Sage
The Sage room is a mini suite that has a private bath, sitting room, queen bedroom and two closets. Its theme honors the local history of the Native Peoples that were known to inhabit the lands around the lake. A high-end queen mattress offers a great nights sleep. The sitting area with 9 ft ceilings and custom drift wood chandelier gathered from native trees around the lake can also be converted into an extra single sleeping space.
Peacock
The space is a mini suite that has a Queen bed, combination dressing and sitting area with a desk for makeup or laptop work station. There is a walk-in shower with privacy but a view of the lake and the huge oak trees on our property draped in Spanish moss. It is themed after the wild peacocks you may see roaming the neighboring streets.
Mermaid
The Mermaid room will be sure to please anyone who dreams of being a mermaid or under the sea. This room is themed after the longest running mermaid show in the US located a short drive away from OMHouse at Weeki Wachi Springs.
The Mermaid private bath with tub and shower has custom decorations to keep the mermaid theme as well as custom wall finishes and historic wall tiles and fixtures.
The Bungalow
A cozy craftsman style bungalow that is attached but not shared with the main estate home is located on the first floor. The private entrance opens to a bedroom that includes a queen bed, writing desk, closet and attached full bathroom. There is one small separate sitting, dining and fully stocked kitchenette area that can also accommodate one single bed by request. The Bungalow can be rented separately or in conjunction with the main home.
